Donner Essential B1 Analog Bass Synthesizer and Sequencer

The Donner Essential B1 synthesizer offers 128 presets for storing your music ideas, and if you're new to electronic music, you can also benefit from its factory contents. With the addition of the Song Mode in firmware V1.1.0, you can chain patterns to create more complex music phrases.

The modern silicon haptic pads with dynamic color-changing backlights on the Essential B1 outperform the traditional tiny buttons found on the original 303. These pads allow you to perform synth basslines on the fly, and you can also utilize the onboard 8-mode arpeggiator to jam your ideas.

The sequencer is the key to the Essential B1, and Donner has made it as intuitive as possible, eliminating the headaches often associated with programming ideas.

While running patterns, the Essential B1 offers several live performance features, making it more playable. The synthesis engine is straightforward, with only 1 VCO, 1 VCF, and 1 VCA, ensuring you can't get the wrong sound. To maintain an organic sound texture, the signal path is kept fully analog.

The analog saturation and delay effects located at the end of the signal path on the Essential B1 add warmth and depth to the sound, helping you achieve the right tone from the get-go.

The Essential B1 offers versatile connectivity, allowing you to connect it to your DAW using the USB Type-C port, which can be used as a MIDI controller to speed up your music production process. Two full-size 5-pin MIDI I/O and Sync I/O ports enable easier communication with other hardware devices.
